Cyber Technical Specialist IV
Location: Aberdeen, Maryland
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI or Higher
Responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise in evaluating an applying technical cybersecurity measures of IT systems and the enclave level.
Security Scan and Patch Management.
Provide security related technical guidance from DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other security related technical configuration information/documentation.
Evaluate technical risks and understand how changes in system configuration and/or network architecture affect a system’s security posture.
Participate in cybersecurity inspections and security assessments.
Develop and interpret cybersecurity plans, policies and procedures regarding configuration management, contingency/disaster preparation, incident response, account management and media control.
Provide incident response and review audit logs.
Perform security assessments and conduct risk management.
Perform static and dynamic software code analysis, threat modeling to systems and networks.
Perform vulnerability assessments.
Certification and Accreditation - Ensure the proper security controls are in place against published cybersecurity
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
Must possess DOD 8570.01-M certifications meeting the requirements for IAT Level III.
Relevant education/experience must be in an IT discipline with specific experience in cybersecurity and/or information assurance:
7 plus years with Bachelors
10 plus years with no degree with technical certifications
Experience with IT Audit, IT compliance, enterprise risk management.
Experience with creating/updating/implementing policy.
Using tools such as ACAS, HBSS/ESS, eMASS to perform security scanning, hardening devices, evaluating technical risks scanning.
Understanding of how changes in system configuration and/or network architecture affect a systems security posture and risk profile
Experience in technical assessment of IT security controls and devices for networks, applications, and systems.
Experience in providing security related technical guidance and applying/implementing DISA STIGs.
Experience in evaluating technical risks associated with applying configuration changes to systems/networks.
Ability to re-evaluate security postures and risk profiles at network environment level.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong understanding of systems and networking.
Experience with technical writing.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Active DoD-issued Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not required.
