Junior Cybersecurity Incident Response Engineer
Location: Washington D.C. 100% Onsite
Clearance Requirement: Active Top-Secret (SCI Eligibility)
Responsibilities:
Junior incident response analyst with experience conducting intermediate analysis of all relevant artifacts associated with a potential intrusion, such as network traffic - to determine the initial infection vector (IIV) as well as any impact a cybersecurity event may have incurred.
Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
Prepares assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis.
Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they verify/validate the requirements.
Verifies/validates systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; industry-standard cybersecurity certifications; two or more years of incident response experience.
2 years of experience development critical incident response plans
2 years of experience conducting incident response analysis
Able to clearly articulate, communicate, and document cybersecurity incidents and threats
Experience communicating across business areas during incident coordination
