SharePoint Developer

Location: Fredericksburg, VA

Clearance Requirement: Top-Secret or Higher

The SharePoint Developer will join our team in Fredericksburg, VA in their continued support of our federal client. The selected individual will work alongside the client team to devise and deliver IT infrastructure, engineering, implementation, operations, administration, system integration, and maintenance services to successfully accomplish the mission of the existing multi-agency center within the Department of Justice. The affiliated program serves as a hub for technical knowledge management across the law enforcement community, making current and emerging technical capabilities more widely available at the local, State, and Federal level. The SharePoint Developer will develop and maintain custom solutions using the SharePoint object models. Use Visual Studio and SharePoint designer to create content types, features, event receivers, workflows, web parts, and necessary objects to facilitate custom functionality within the portal. Manage and customize workflows, lists and libraries, document management and web parts in SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016. Participate in the migration of content from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2016 or SharePoint 2019. Support SharePoint customization, including custom branding and navigation, search, configuring site collections, lists, libraries, and content type development with C#, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, HTML and CSS and Visual Studio Code. Support portal functionality through networking, IIS, Active Directory, DNS, and Window Services and features.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop/update and build fully deployable solutions for development, staging, integration, and production environments

  • Develop new website/functionality at the direction of the customer and, maintaining portal functionality

  • Develop and maintaining SOPs, procedures, processes, and website documentation as needed.

  • Create and update custom reports using SQL Server Report Builder (SSRS)

  • Research and implement new web features and tools for authoring documents, managing the website, maximizing accessibility, and expanding online offerings.

  • Perform testing and Quality Control for internal and external websites to include ensuring 508 compliances.

  • Manage user roles as needed to ensure proper access to website information and tools.

  • Create and update wireframes, mockups, Use Case Diagrams, and flowcharts; Use Team Foundation Server (TFS) for all code changes and version controls: Develop documentation to include test plans and end-user documentation

  • Monitor SharePoint trends including, but not limited to, site usage and growth, disk space usage and growth.

  • Providing helpdesk support at the Tier I, and II

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to pass a US Government counterintelligence polygraph examination.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science in a network-related or web-related discipline.

  • Four (4) years of experience with SharePoint Designer 2013, and experience with InfoPath Designer 2013

  • Four (4) years of experience with SharePoint Development using Visual Studio IDE to create solutions with C# and ASP.Net (including customized code, and creating/modifying web parts, creating/modifying SharePoint workflows)

  • Four (4) years of experience, or a very strong working and applied knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, and jQuery

  • Four (4) years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle Process (May include SDLC, Agile, SCRUM, Lean, etc.)

  • Experience coding methods to access user information from Active Directory (LDAP), and Microsoft SQL Server connections to access application data

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and features

  • Experience with SAML 2.0 tokens integration in managing authentication and access

  • Knowledge of Power Platform to include Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
